QR Codes

I would like diversity in my activities and be able to have students be able to access different information using these different tools like show me and QR Codes.  I feel that QR Codes will be useful for students who want to try the problem first and then check that they are on the right path.

Homework Pencasts

This year I have been using something called a smart pen where I have been posting solutions to homework answers by talking and writing out the solutions.  The students are able to use this effectively as they can view problems where they have trouble with when working on their homework.

Delicious

We learned about delicious today which is exciting because we can post links into stacks and keep them all in one place.  It is useful for personal stuff(like recipes) and classes that you are teaching with another coworker!

Screen Chomp

Rajeev gave a demo on screen chomp that we were able to practice on as well.  It is a great way for students to apply their knowledge and share with their fellow classmates.  It is a very simple program that is very easy to use by students.  It allows students to have a different approach to do review in a classroom.

My First Blog Post

I created a google site last year and have improved what I have been incorporating into my website.  I have created a google form for students to fill out when they are asking me for a letter of recommendation.  I hope to also create their teacher evaluation at the end of the semester through google forms.  I have also created a calendar for my students to view when they have quizzes or tests for the unit.  It also has all the holidays and things going on on campus.  I also embed pencasts for homework problems on my website.  I would like to learn how to incorporate more technology in my class as well as with my website.  I would like to learn how to screencast as well.
